I just finished watching the new series on SonyLiv, "Rocket boys". There are very few movies/series that makes an impact on me. "Rocket Boys" is undoubtedly one of them. The story revolves around the two brightest minds India has ever seen, Dr Vikram Sarabhai and Dr Homi Bhabha. The series takes you through the struggle, achievement and bonding they shared.

This article is not a series review, so I will not reveal the story. I would instead urge you to take the time and watch it. So, here are some of the learnings from this story.
Know what you want
If you have clarity on what you want, no one can stop you from achieving your dream. Mrinalini Sarabhai delivers one of the most powerful quotes, "Everything becomes easy once you know what you want." It sounds simple, but it is true. Most of us struggle with our work/personal life because we do not have clear clarity on what we want. And things become pretty simple once we know where we want to reach.
Patience has the biggest rewards
All dreams take time to turn into reality. You have to believe in it and keep on working towards it. Sarabhai wanted to send a rocket into space, but it took them well over two decades to turn this dream into a reality. Most people dare to dream big but lack the patience to become a reality. Dr Bhabha bravely stood in front of the leaders and said, "Everything is impossible until it isn't."
Find your WHO
You must find the right "who" to achieve your dream. Sarabhai tried to build a rocket multiple times and failed before closing the rocket division. He needed a "who" and that who was none other than Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. On the other side, Sarabhai was the who for Kalam sir, looking for someone to provide him with the right resource to create India's first rocket. Manier times, we try to do everything ourselves, resulting in a dead-end and frustration. Instead, find a who!
Surround yourself with the right people in life
From the story, it may look like both Sarabhai and Bhabha did not support each other philosophy. But they constantly pushed each other to grow both as a person and a scientist. The way Bhabha pushes Vikrambhai not to delay the launch date gives you a large peg of joy and positivity. You might not realise, but Mrinalini Sarabhai also plays a critical role in helping Vikram Sarabhai to make the right decision.
We all are privileged in some way!
If you have the vision, knowledge and passion, you can do anything, especially if you are privileged. We all are privileged in some way. What is important is what you do with it. Bhabha and Sarabhai both came from well-known families of that time. Both channelised their resources in the right direction.
I can go on and on, but I will keep the rest of the inspirations for you to watch. Go and watch this series. It is worth every single minute.
